Original Andrew Carter Painting from the series 'Tales of the Thin Man' - depicting Fremantle.
This particular painting depicts Fremantle and includes the two bridges, prison wall and the street scene in Fremantle.
Would be an ideal central painting for anyone who lives in Fremantle and who would like to have a piece of local history.
We purchased this painting directly from Andrew's exhibition which he held in March 2006.
The 'Tales of the Thin Man' was a small series of paintings and we picked this one at a pre-show above all the others. We loved the style and the mix of Fremantle with vibrant blue of the sky, river and sea.
Andrew provided us the original board from the exhibition which explains the origin of the painting. The painting was purchased from his gallery at 28A Queen Street, Fremantle.

The frame is hand made by Andrew and almost has a metal leaf look about it, the photos do not do it any justice. The painting is oil on canvas and is just over 1m square.
We are keen to see this painting go to a good home, hopefully one in Fremantle so it can return to its roots.
